Over the years the hotel has been
known as Mullarkey's (the bar is still known locally by that name),
The Railway Hotel (after the establishment in 1895 of the Galway to
Clifden railway), The Clifden Bay Hotel, and now is finally known as
Foyle's.
There is an impressive foyer and separate
Residents' Lounge. Our attractive residents Dining Room looks out
onto the patio Garden. Our popular Marconi Restaurant/Bar offers
a la carte meals throughout the season. Down through the
years the hotel has maintained a name for fine food and has a
comprehensive wine list.
The bedrooms are tastefully
designed to give an atmosphere of relaxation and luxury with
en-suite bathrooms accompanying all the rooms. The Hotel has a
private garden to the rear of the building which at all times of the
year one will find in full bloom. Edmund Foyle personally supervises
the hotel with the help of his family and assistants, some of whom
have been with the hotel for years. A friendly and relaxed
atmosphere prevails.
